Worst Day Ever part 1
I never want to see you ever again. That was her words exactly as I remember them. I stood at her door dumbfounded. The girl of my dreams gone, just like that. I should not have been surprised. The entire day had been like this, an utter disaster, but I am getting ahead of myself. I need to start from the beginning.
630am
Beep, beep, beep. My phone alarm went off. I reached over to my lamp stand picked the phone up and turned over on my back. It was same every morning no change there. I turned off the alarm and looked at the calendar. There they were the words I had waited so long to see on my screen…DATE WITH LISA. It was Friday and my teenage dreams of love and miracles were going to come true.
See I have known Lisa, well known of Lisa, since third grade. That was the day she walked into our classroom and the day I knew we were destined to be married and ride of in the sunset leaving the cruel world behind and…but I digress. She was the new girl to the school, she was…is, the most beautiful, kind, intelligent girl to ever walk the planet. Yes God had sent her here to be my bride, two soul mates, brought together.
Now I know what you are thinking; what does this have to do with the worst day ever? Bear with me, I had to think long and hard about how this day came about and I think it may have started the day Lisa walked into my life. Anyway the teacher did the unthinkable, he had her sit by Tommy Stills, the worst person on earth. How could he? Never had two more opposite people been placed together on the planet. Here was the sweetest creature of God’s creation being placed by the most vile, evil, despicable and…well you get the picture.
Well I wasn’t going to have it. NO! I blurted out. Looking back now it was probably the most embarrassing thing to ever happen to me up to that day. Mr. Horace and the entire third grade class of Kennedy elementary looked at me. What’s worse is that I was so embarrassed I did not have an answer I just sat there in awkward silence. I had no idea how I was going to ever get to know that Aphrodite beauty. I knew even then that first impressions were important and I had just blown it.
